Dr Mekdes Daba Feyssa

Honourable Mekdes Daba Feyssa is the Minister of Health for the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, leading national efforts to strengthen health systems and public service delivery. A specialist in maternal and reproductive health, she previously served as the President of the Ethiopian Obstetricians and Gynecologists Association (ESOG). Previously, Dr. Mekdes served as a Team Lead at the Deputy Director General’s Office at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, where she gained high-level experience navigating complex multilateral health environments.
