Ms. Pamela Audrey Derom is a physicist and a leading advocate for human rights and women’s empowerment across Africa. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the National Youth Council of the Central African Republic (CNJCA), where she leads efforts to enhance youth participation in governance and social reform. In 2019, she made history as the first woman elected to lead the institution. A prominent voice in continental youth leadership, Ms. Derom also serves as the Vice-President of the Pan-African Youth Union (PAYU) and Vice-President of the ECCAS Regional Youth Council. Her work is dedicated to mobilizing young leaders across the Central African region and the broader continent to champion gender equality and inclusive development.
